The most important person in my life, since the day I was born, has been my Mother.  She is my best friend, my wisest advisor, my free therapist and the most amazing person I have ever known.  She has the uncanny ability to find the very best in every one she meets and always makes lemonade out of every lemon that life may throw her way.  Being positive at all times and having the ability to make everything a fun adventure are just a very small part of what makes her a truly remarkable person. Recently I ordered a Video Biography for her to document some of our important family history. Towards the end, she was asked to talk about each of her children, and the video below is the segment about me.  Choosing a Realtor® is a big decision, and it's important to me that my clients know who I am and what I'm about - no one can tell you better than my Mother, Dell Pettigrew.

Born and raised in Tyler, Emily knows her hometown well! She feels the warmth of the tradition offered in the Rose Capital, but with great enthusiasm, she has seen the expansion and rapid growth of Tyler as very exciting and positive.

Emily attended Stephens College in Colombia, Mo., where she studied Early Childhood Development. She and her 14-year-old daughter, Alexandria, are active members of First Presbyterian Church in Tyler. Emily has participated in the Texas Rose Festival. She enjoys cooking, golf, tennis, and spending time with her daughter.

Jamie is Texas born and bred. She was raised in tiny (but now booming) Mixon, just 30 minutes from Tyler. She attended Tyler Junior College to develop her skills in graphic design.  Prior to joining the Pamela Walters Group, Jamie was the MLS Coordinator for the Greater Tyler Association of Realtors, where she was responsible for helping over 1,150 members to use the computerized MLS system more effectively.  She was also responsible for Membership, Training and Tech Support. Prior to that, she worked as a cartographer for National Map. Her graphic design and cartography skills, not to mention her previous position with GTAR, make her a valuable addition to the team.  Jamie says she joined the Pamela Walters Group because Pamela is "great, fun, exciting, upbeat, a character, and challenging."  Jamie is married and has two children, aged 13 and 16.

Paula is another strong people person on our team.  She brings a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Northwestern State University and seven years of progressive experience in Sales and Sales Management.  Growing up in a military family gave Paula the opportunity to live in Alaska, Louisianna, Florida, and New York.  This is the third time she has returned to live in Tyler, and she's says this time she's making Tyler her permanent home for herself and her eight year old son, Broque.

Paula's attraction to working in real estate is the personal satisfaction she gets from helping home buyers work through all the issues and details to get their dream homes.  In addition to her home buyer activity, Paula is also responsible for supervising our entire buyer sales team to ensure that they provide all the close follow up our clients deserve.

Julia moved to Tyler in 1981 with her husband and three girls and was a stay-at-home mom until the girls all went off to the University of Texas in Austin. She began working, first in the family's computer software business then with a tennis friend in a State Farm office before joining Pamela's successful real estate firm. The things important to her over the years have been her family, her home and tennis. 

She met Pamela on the tennis court ... their team went to USTA Nationals in 1998 at the 4.0 level. They discovered a shared passion for gardening and home decorating and became fast friends off the court, too. Each has a strong respect for the others good taste, interpersonal skills and excellent accomplishments in everything they work to achieve. Julia and Pamela also share a high-energy approach to life which helps them finish everything they start.

In 2008 Nick went to school to become a Catastrophe Insurance Claims Adjuster. He spent his few days off of work as a sales agent learning how to work claims and inspect damaged homes. He was quickly deployed to Houston and Galveston, Texas to work in claims adjusting after Hurricane IKE devastated the region. Nick helped hundreds of families recover damages to their homes and properties. 

Nick’s family relocated to Tyler in 2008. He began working for a local land development company as a Real Estate Agent. His ability and passion for helping people learn the value of owning a home and expert knowledge in Real Estate earned him a spot with The Pamela Walters Group as a Buyer’s Agent. He joined the Team in 2009, and is enjoying helping Tyler families find the perfect home. He spends his time off as a member of the Noonday Fire Department and East Texas Military Vehicle Preservation Society.
